Billabong Flaunt It came into Lake Louise for the second stop of the series this past weekend. The contest filled up during pre registration, but luckily for some locals who started lining up at 7:30AM, ten additional spots were opened up to make room.
Jennifer Englot, a Lake Louise local claimed the victory and trip to the Finals at Sierra-at-Tahoe with a solid slopestyle run. Englot’s winning run consisted of multi direction spins off every jump and sold rail riding the whole way down. Her backside 360 on the second jump also landed her the Nixon Style Award. Kirsty MacDonald another Banff local managed a solid second place run, and Sydney Bey from Comox, BC placed third.

The ladies had a three rail set up for the afternoon rail jam: a down bar, down-flat-down, and a flat box. Jennifer Bernier locked in first place with a frontside 180 on, switch backside 180 out on the down bar. Sabrina Gauthier came in second with a frontlip 270 out, and Zuzy Rocka followed closely in third.
Kristy MacDonald won the Dakine Best Trick Award and took home $100, a Dakine backpack, first layers and snowboarding socks with a super smooth frontside 540 nose grab. Learning that backflips can have serious consequences, Sabrina Gauthier earned the VZ Ragdoll Award for her efforts.
The third stop for Flaunt It comes this weekend at Big White, BC. Due to demand, pre registration is highly recommended.
