DEATH DO US PART - Ian Ruhter's Photographic Voyage Continues

Ian Ruhter, a former snowboard photographer, has created a one-of-a-kind camera out of a truck (yes, A CAMERA MADE OUT OF A TRUCK!) and has set out to document American life with it. Along the way he continues to find incredibly inspiring stories while creating some hauntingly beautiful images, all the while finding out more and more about himself and what makes him happy. Please enjoy this wonderful short film as Ian shares this special journey with us.

If you haven't seen any of the previous instalments of this series here are the facts:

     - Ian Ruhter used to shoot snowboarding, now he makes art

     - He basically made a pin-hole camera out of a whole box-truck

     - It makes these huge and insanely cool contact prints

     - He's rolling around 'merica meeting interesting people and taking their photos

     - He has really nice hair

Along the way, Ian and his homies have been producing these incredible short films about their journeys and the people they have been meeting. What's really amazing is the way Ian opens up to the camera and really gets into what this adventure means to him, and what it is doing for him. I don't know Ian at all but you can tell this would be a really interesting guy to sit down and have a beer with, that's for sure.

This is the post Ian made on Instagram to announce this film yesterday:

"We put our heart & souls in this film It brought me to tears when it was finished . I want to thank all of my #Instagram friends you helped us creating this film too. I'm standing in the dark 1000 miles from home in a graveyard. The morning light arrived and my eyes began to focus. This was the moment everything became clear. I woke up from a nightmare that had lasted seven years. I realized I was surrounded by everything I loved. That's where the name Death Do Us Part came from."

Powerful stuff. Enjoy.
