A few months back SPY introduced what it is calling it's Happy Lens Technology in their line of sunglasses. The long and short of it is that this new type of lens construction not only does the normal polarized thing - eliminating glare, UV and other annoying types of light - but also is specifically designed to let in the sun's "good light", or blue light, which has been found to “harmonize” with the body and create a more upfliting mood for the wearer. This is the same kind of technology and research behind the "sunlight bars" and light boxes you may have heard about recently. So cool!
I've been testing out a pair of their Discord model for the past few months and I have to say they are without a doubt the sweetest set of lenses I have ever had the pleasure of laying on my face. I'm no scientition but can attest to the fact that these puppies make everything look better without being too dark or changing the colors of nature into some purple or blue alternate reality. If they can handle the glare of mid-day sun in the high-alpine of the backcountry then they can handle anything!

You're going to pay a bit of a premium for the better lenses but as anyone who has ever worn a pair of polarized lenses knows, it really is worth it. Add in the Happy Lenses and it's a no brainer!

There's honestly not too much else to say about these puppies other than they are super rad and I love them. I'll leave it there for now but really urge you to pick up a pair the next time your shopping for shades!
