Skydiver struck by a sudden epileptic seizure in mid-fall saved in extremis by his instructor.

Skydiving and free falling are dangerous sports. No one is going argue about this. If things are not done properly or the equipment is not in top condition, it can easily slip into a “what could go wrong? Everything” situation.

However, when all precautions are taken and when you are diving with a pro, like the man in the video above, you expect things to run smoothly.

But it was not the case this time. The diver was struck by a sudden seizure episode, which made him drop at a very fast speed and prevented him to deploy his parachute.

After 30 seconds of horrifying free fall, the jump master was able to catch up with him and pull his ripcord at a 400ft altitude. The man remained unconscious for another 1000ft, only regaining consciousness at 3000ft and land safely on the ground.

Probably one of the scariest real life event we’ve seen. Ever.

Psssttt ! Envoie-ça à ton ami!
