8 Reasons to Check Out MULTIPLICITY at the 2015 World Ski and Snowboard Festival

8 Reasons to Check Out MULTIPLICITY at the 2015 World Ski and Snowboard Festival

What are you doing on Sunday, April 12?

If you’re in or around Whistler, your answer had better be “going to MULTIPLICITY” – and if it’s not, you should change that by buying your tickets here before they sell out.

What’s MULTIPLICITY? Picture yourself sharing a chairlift with the most interesting people in the world. Athletes, adventurers, explorers – these are people with stories. MULTIPLICITY offers the rare opportunity to peer inside the delightfully out-there minds of this very type of person, hearing their stories up close and personal.

This year, eight great presenters will be sharing eight great shows. They’re the eight reasons you should plan on being at the Whistler Conference Centre the evening of the 12th. Here’s what you don’t want to miss out on:

Reason #1: Will Gadd, Man on a Mission

You might know him as the guy who just climbed the frozen-over Niagara Falls, or perhaps you’ve heard of him as National Geographic’s Adventurer of the Year for 2015. Will Gadd is the feature speaker at MULTIPLICITY, bringing you behind-the-scenes of his extreme—and extremely awesome—stories.

Reason #2: Kirby Brown, Lobbing Rocks at Land Mines

In a fun place like Whistler, it’s easy to forget that not everyone has access to play. Kirby Brown is a local who travels the world to build playgrounds for kids in conflict zones, and his presentation will cover his impactful experiences with Playground Builders.

Reason #3: Suz Graham, Ace of Base

For some people, “normal” is simply not an option. Suz Graham is one of those people. She lives, breathes, eats, and sleeps adventure – her average day is likely zanier than your craziest experience ever. You’ll walk away from Suz’s talk with an urge to reject the mundane and kick up your own life by a notch or two.

Reason #4: Chris Winter

Travel and biking are two passions that many Whistler residents share. It just so happens that Chris Winter knows a thing or two about both of these things. Fair warning: attendees will likely leave Chris’s talk with a serious case of the travel bug.

Reason #5: Tim Emmett, Master of Rock and Ice

Where others see the impossible, Tim finds a way to do it. This climber (of the ice and rock variety) has completed a multitude of first ascents around the world. You’ll never say “I can’t” again.

Reason #6: David McColm, Deep Passion for the Deep Sky

David has the rare skill of using his camera to capture Whistler’s magic. You’ve definitely seen his ethereal photographs before -- now you’ll get the chance to find out what goes into getting that perfect shot.

Reason #7: Darcy Turenne, Behind the Lens, In Front of the World

Athlete, storyteller, and filmmaker Darcy Turenne has a knack for delivering messages in a way that hits you right in the gut. She’s seen a lot of stuff – weird stuff, beautiful stuff, impactful stuff – and she wants to share the best of the best with you.

Reason #8: Julie Angus, Rowboat in a Hurricane

Julie Angus has rowed across the Atlantic Ocean. What have you done lately? Enough said.
