***FRANCAIS*** 33 (à Isis) Comment décrirais tu Grahmzilla comme artiste? Isis: Hahaha, il est tout simplement un nerd génie apprécié, c'est un de ces gars dont on sait jamais de quoi il est capable. Parfois je tombe sur une de ses musiques et je suis époustouflé. Sa musique est vraiment extravertie, mais lui, c'est un grand introverti, doté d'un énorme talent. 33 (à Isis) Parles moi un peu de ta carrière avant Thunderheist. Isis: Premièrement , j'écris de chansons depuis l'age de 13 ans. J'était un Mc Rapper, j'ai fais des shows. C'est vraiment quelque chose que j'ai toujours naturellement adoré faire! Je crois que quand tu es née artiste, tu es née artiste. Je veux être moi même. 33: Grahm, à quoi penses tu quand tu composes? Grahm: Je sais pas comment dire... Je crois que je compose avec ce qui me vient au moment même. J'adore la base et du bon drum alors je me concentre sérieusement sur cette combinaison. Lorsque je sens que ça marche au fond de moi, alors ça marche probablement pour les autres. Isis: Lorsqu'on a fait les tests de son plus tôt, la musique faisait sérieusement vibrer les tables et les verres! C'est comme ça qu'on aime la base! 33: Ok, alors pour quand votre premier CD! Grahm: Fin Février! 33: Il y a quelques mois seulement, vous étiez plutot un groupe connu localement, maintenant vous faites des shows partout dans le monde. Comment est la scène Montréalaise comparativement aux autres? Isis: Nous adorons Montreal. Montréal est une ville qui nous donnes de l'énergie, qui a une vibration unique; et on se sent vraiment comme des rockstars. Notre musique touche les gens c'est génial! Grahm: On peut définitivement sentir des similarités entre les différentes villes par exemple. Des jeunes il y en a partout, et je crois que tout le monde cherche la même sensation quand ils viennent à notre show. 33: Depuis que vous parcourez le monde, avez vous leçon de vie sur le monde de la musique? Grahm: Honnêtement, on essaie de rester simple. Si on s'amuse, alors ça va bien. On ne se fais pas de souci pour le reste. On veut créer un bon moment et c'est tout man. Isis: Ouais c'est pas si profond! La vie est sensée être amusante et oui tu peux avoir des moments profonds mais la vie est si courte alors AMUSE TOI! C'est ce qu'on veux partager avec les gens qui viennent nous voir. 33: Votre vidéoclip a été sélectionné lors d'un concour ou vous invitiez les fans à créer votre clip! Manque de budjet? Promouvoir les artistes locaux? Isis: Je suis une grande supportère de la connection entre l'artiste et le public. Nos fans ne sont pas centrés sur les hipsters, ou les gens de 18 ans. Il y a tant de gens différents qui aiment notre musique, et nous voulions en profiter pour voir de leurs projets. Et le résultat est vraiment cool! Et en passant! Jerk It a rien à voir avec le sex. C'est une chanson à propos de se perdre dans le moment. Peu importe qui tu es. 33: Et Lil Booty Girl? Isis: J'ai de très petites fesses pour une Nigérienne. Alors je voulais représenter les femmes aux petites fesses! 33 :Quels sont vos plans pour 2009? Isis: Tout est possible! L'album inclus. Nous ne sommes pas confinés à un genre ou une scène en particulier. Nous faisons la musique que nous aimons au moment et c'est tout! 33: L'an prochain, allons nous voir Thunderheist à Musique Plus? Ou allez vous plus vous concentrer sur ....la scène underground? Grahm: «fuck that shit» Isis: Yeah «fuck that» Grahm: Non l'année prochaine nous allons être beaucoup plus traditionel. Isis: mais ça ne veux pas dire kétaine, juste faire de la musique plus pop. ***ENGLISH*** 33 (to Isis) How would you describe Grahmzilla's music style? Isis: hahaha, he's actually a nerd appreciated genius, he's one of those guys that you don't even know what he's capable of. I don't even, I sometimes, stumble on something he's working on, and I'm blown away. His music is so extraverted, but he himself is introverted. A shy guy, capable of BIG, GREAT things! 33 (to Isis) How would you describe your whole career as a rapper/singer, before thunderheist? Isis: I've been writting songs since 13 years old, I was a performing MC and Rapper, have done tours. Its really something I feel I've always loved to do and naturally do. I think when you're born an artist, you're born an artist. If your born gay you're born gay. You wanna be your natural form. 33: Grahm, what's in your head when you create? Grahm: I don't know, I think I just do what comes to me. I really like base, and good drums, so I really try to focus on that combination. When I feel it down here, then it's probably doing its job. Isis: When we were doing sound check earlier, the music was actually shaking all the bottles and tables. That's how we love the base! (laughing) 33: OK, so when's the fucking CD coming? Grahm: End of February! 33: A couple months ago, you guys were playing in Montreal a lot, and now I look at your myspace, and you guys are playing all over the world. Isis: but we love Montreal though Montreal gives you that special Vibe, it makes you actually be a rock star and the music is really hitting people its amazing. 33: How's the public overseas? Isis: It's actually surprising, people know the lyrics and are really open regardless of their cultures. Grahm: We can definitly see similarities in the crowd in different cities. There is youth everywhere, and I think everybody wants the same thing when coming to our shows. 33: Since doing so many shows around the world. Has this experience give you any epiphany about the music world, the reception of the fans? Isis: Hum....I don't know anything that striked you? (looking at grahm) Grahm: Honestly, I think we try to keep it simple. If we're having a good time then it's working. There's nothing deep, we're just trying to create a good time and that's it man. Isis: Yeah, it's not that deep! The whole point of life is that it's suppose to be fun you know, and yeah you can have deep moments but it's like... you're only here for so long...ENJOY IT, enjoy it, and that's what we want to have people do when they come to the show! We don't want separate artist and audience, we want it to be all of us together. 33: For the music video, did you guys chose to do a contest for lack of budjet, or to promote the local artist? Isis: I'm a big supporter of Fan/artist experience. Our fans are so wide, its not only hipsters, or 18 years old. So many different people are into our stuff, so we wanted to capitalize on that. And the result was really cool! Oh and by the way! Jerk It has nothing to do with sex. It's about the idea of loosing yourself in the moment, no matter who you are. 33: and Lil Booty Girl? Isis: I have a very small butt for a black girl! I'm Nigerian, and my mom has a huge butt! So I wanted to represent all the litlle booty girls! What are your plans for 2009? Isis: Anything is possible! The album is the same way. We're not really confined to a scene or genre. We make music the way we feel it in that moment in time! 33: Next Year, are we gonna see Thunderheist on TV, or you guys are gonna stay more Myspace, do the internet thing? Grahm: No fuck that!
